Personal finance tooling built for Indian users is thin on the ground — most budgeting apps are US-centric, English-only, and treat goal planning as a spreadsheet exercise. WealthWise set out to give everyday Indian earners a guided, multilingual way to budget, track expenses and plan toward real goals, without needing a finance background.

Architecture & Implementation
Full-stack Next.js + Node.js app with MongoDB schemas designed for flexible, per-user budget/goal structures rather than rigid categories.
Google OAuth + OTP authentication for low-friction, secure sign-in that still works for users without a Google account.
Gemini-powered recommendation layer reads a user’s spending pattern and goals to suggest realistic budget adjustments in plain language.
Built a reusable internal React component library (forms, charts, goal cards) so new budgeting flows ship without re-building UI primitives each time.
Localized the entire product surface into 10 Indian languages, materially improving accessibility for non-English-first users.
